I wanted to keep a quick hit list of my favorite vegan holiday recipes for Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is all the recipes my family and I have made (or picked up in store ha!) over the last couple of years. Here are some great ideas for sides and make ahead dishes you can bring to your work Thanksgiving potluck, your Friendsgiving, and even your family Thanksgiving meal of course! Cue the friends episodes where Monica gets her head stuck in the turkey, Chandler’s finger gets chopped off, and flag football is in full swing- those just really never get old.
I like to keep this list handy with all my go-to vegan holiday recipes and add to it each year when I try a new dish! You guys tell me if you give anything a try. Or if you’re looking for a vegan version of one of your favorite holiday staples- I’ll research a modified version for ya!
Vegan Holiday Recipes
Mains & Sides
-Green Beans mixed with Sauteed Mushrooms, Toasted Almonds, and Nutritional Yeast
-Thanksgiving Tofu from The Kind Diet cookbook
-Cornbread from the Sakara Life Cookbook (code XODANIELLE for 20% off!)
-Erewhon Sourdough Veggie Stuffing (I got this last year from a health food store in LA called Eerwhon and it was probably my favorite vegan holiday dish I had tasted! Since I don’t live in LA anymore, I am going to try to replicate this year based on the ingredients listed on their website menu here.)
-Cranberry Sauce (We use cranberries, Grand Marnier, orange juice, coconut sugar, and ginger.)
-Peanut Butter Pie from The Kind Diet cookbook (I made this last year and topped it with pomegranate seeds!)
Holiday Cocktails/Alcoholic Beverages
-Poinsettias (our fam’s holiday spin on the classic mimosa!) Organic champagne and Organic cranberry juice like the Lakewood Farms brand, plus pomegranate seeds!
-Dry Farm Wines and you can use in the Spiced Mulled Wine recipe from The Kind Diet cookbook
-I plan to try a few dishes from this Elsa’s Wholesome Life A Merry Wholesome Christmas E-book as well this year!
